• Please bring your previous X-ray, CT, MRI or Ultrasound films and reports for reference.

  • Inform our staff if you are or may be pregnant.

  • No food or drinks 4 hours prior to contrast CT. Regular medications can still be taken with small amounts of plain water.

  • Inform our staff if you have any allergies (especially towards contrast medium), asthma, or eczema.

  • If you have kidney disease, have had kidney surgery, or have diabetes, we may require a renal function test report (eg, Creatinine level report, Glomerular Filtration Rate report) from the past 6 months.

  • If you are taking metformin and your glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is higher than 30ml/min/1.73m² or you have renal failure, you should stop taking metformin 48 hours before the test day.

  • Inform our staff if you are diabetic or taking the diabetic drug “Metformin”.


Coronary Angiogram(CTCA)

(1)No exercise, alcohol, smoking, coffee, tea or coke 12 hours before examination.

(2)If you have asthma and use an inhaler, please bring it with you to your appointment.

(3)You can take all medicines prescribed by your doctor as usual.

(4)Please bring your current medication list.


CT Virtual Colonoscopy Instructions

Day before examination:

Please take non-fat, non-residue meals (e.g. Avoid vegetables, milk product), liquid diets (e.g. Congee) and non-residue beverages (e.g.Water, tea, black coffee, light soup). Prescribed medication can be taken as usual.

Day before examination:

The examination does require Klean Prep preparation beforehand.

Day of examination: 

(1)No food on the day of examination, only small amounts of water consumption is allowed.

(2)The examination require intravenous administration of an Antispasmodic (Buscopan or Glucagen) prior to gas insufflations via an enema tube.
